About Consentify

Your agency should be building websites, not reading privacy law.

It started with an invoice. We were setting up an ordinary little website, and the cookie banner cost more per month than the domain and the hosting put together. We did not want to pay that, and we could not find anything simpler, so we ended up building it ourselves.

Most consent tools let the tracking scripts load and then try to stop them before they manage to do anything. That usually works, but not always. We have turned it around, and do not put the tracking on the page at all until somebody has pressed yes, so there is nothing left that can go wrong.

The banner is the first thing anyone sees on your site, and on most sites it is also the ugliest. With us you pick the colours, the spacing, the shadow and the corners yourself, so it looks like part of the site instead of something glued on afterwards.

The agencies who use us do not want to become privacy consultants, they want to build websites. So all their client sites sit in the same dashboard, set up the same way, which makes it one thing to keep track of instead of one per client.

We underestimated how hard this field is. Cookies and privacy rules connect in ways that are not obvious, and it is not something you can ask an AI about and trust the answer. Most of what we know now we have had to read our way to in the regulations themselves.

Consentify is still a small company. Send us an email and one of us answers, not a support department.

How it works

Three things, and you are done.

  1. 01

    <script async src=".../api/gateway?token=...">

    In your <head>

    Paste one line

That single line gives you the banner, the cookie declaration and the decision about what is allowed to run. There is nothing else to install.

  2. 02

    G-XXXXXXXXXX

    In the dashboard

    Hand over the tracking ids

Take the Google Analytics and Meta tags off the site, and paste the ids into the dashboard instead. That is really the whole job.

  3. 03

    csfy_consent

    In the visitor's browser

    That is it

The banner turns up in your colours, the tracking goes in only once somebody says yes, and the answer is remembered for a year.
